Air Fried Chicken Nuggets

Lower in carb, crunchy, air fried CHICKEN NUGGETS!

The star of the show is using @ CutDaCarb flatbread for breadcrumbs!!!

Details:

1/2 a cut da carb flatbread or bread crumbs of choice

1 egg (I used about 1/3 of the whisked egg)

Seasoning of choice (I used Nacho Cheese Flavorgod)

3 oz weighed RAW Chicken Breast (Can use more but may change final macro breakdown I have below)

AIR FRYER


Instructions:

~Preheat oven to 350 and place flatbread in with a few sprays of olive oil on a sheet pan until it is browned. 

I would say about 4-6 min.

~Whisk your egg in a small bowl, weigh out your raw chicken breast & find a RAW mfp entry of chicken to log the amount used. I cut up the chicken breast into bite sized pieces.

~Once the flatbread is cooked, break it up into super fine pieces like “crumbs” on a plate, add seasonings of your desire.

Here you can use breadcrumbs as well! You are gonna take the raw chicken little pieces, dip them into the egg wash, into the “flatbread crumbs” to coat and directly into the air fryers basket.

~Air fry @400 for 10-12 min and shake the basket half way to evenly brown the nuggets.

If you do not have an air fryer, you can bake them at 400 for the same amount of time, if not a little longer to get a bit more crispy.


Macro breakdown: For 1/3 of the egg (only used a bit), 1/2 the cut da carb flatbread baked into the “crumbs”, and 3 oz of raw chicken breast… is (22protein/2fat/7carbs) 137 calories


I dipped in the Carolina Gold BBQ sauce from Ghugh’s my fav sauce brand!!!
