Turkey Scallion Roll Ups
A twist on the old time fav appetizer, ham & cheese scallion roll ups!!
These are fun & a perfect snack or lunch idea that’s high protein, using turkey deli meat, a lower fat option using a lite Swiss laughing cow wedge & then the crunch of the green onion is a perfect addition!!
And that’s it for the I ingredients!
I used 2 oz turkey meat here but can use ham, I just don’t love that deli meat...
1 laughing cow wedge spreaded... (can use cream cheese too)
2 scallions...
Simple, right?!
~Take your deli meat of choice, lower fat cream cheese or a laughing cow wedge and spread it evenly in the center of the meat!
~If you use cream cheese, soften it in the microwave for 30 seconds!
~Wash the green onions, and chop off the top super green part & the hairy ends on the other end.
~Remove the outer sheath of the scallion (green onion) then cut to fit the slices of meat!
Lastly, roll the meat, cream cheese or laughing cow wedge with the green onion.
Roll more meat, spread more cheese and add in more scallions to double or triple the recipe for more people to enjoy!
Make these for your next social distancing gathering!!! Or a side dish, or like I did, as a quick lunch.
