Air Fryer Turkey Meatballs

These air fryer meatballs are full of flavor, simple, high protein and a perfect addition to your meals!

If ya don’t have an air fryer… get one ASAP! Decreases the cook time by  a ton, it is so convenient and  makes anything taste so good!!

I got mine off Macy’s on sale & used coupons- it is the Chefwave brand, I’ve also have had the Phillips & Crux.

These are just so cute and versatile to add into any type of meal! Whipped them super quickly with ingredients I had already on hand!
PRO TIP: I always keep extra lean ground chicken/ turkey frozen to pull out when I prep my protein for the week.

DETAILS::::

1 lb of lean ground turkey or chicken

Stalk of green onions or scallions finely diced

3 TB egg whites (equivalent to 1 egg) which will help form them > didn’t have an egg at the time of prepping these but the egg whites worked

Fresh minced garlic (or dried works)

Any spices you wish > I used Flavor God diary free nacho cheese, pink sea salt to taste

COMBINE all in a large bowl that I weighed before mixing the raw ingredients (weight was 645 grams)

Weighted the final raw batch with the bowl & that was 1180. Next, I subtracted the weight of the bowl so I just have the ingredients weight.

= 535 and I knew I wanted 10 servings so divided (535/10) which is 53 grams per RAW meatball!

>>> I used a scooper to individually weigh out 53 grams of each ball.

>>> I took tinfoil & placed in the basket of my air fryer so the meat juice didn’t get everywhere, placed half the batch evenly and air fried at 400 degrees for 16 minutes. BUT shaking the basket of the fryer 8 minutes in to make sure they were evenly being cooked.

It took two batches to cook them all & I have been storing them in a glass pyrex to keep fresh!

Of course by using an egg, that will up the fat content just a bit.

54 calories per ball : .4 fat, .2 carb, 11.7 protein
