Chocolate Syrup

I love anything chocolate…. like who doesn’t?!

Starbucks iced mochas are a fav of mine and it gave me the inspiration to create a cleaner Chocolate Syrup!

To drizzle on ice cream, cake, waffles, and hello in your coffee!!! Pretty much it would be good on anything!

This stuff is a simple mix of black cacao powder,  swerve granulated sugar for can use coconut sugar, almond milk, vanilla and salt.  You can use any non-dairy milk you like to make this too. I hope you make some and keep it in your fridge to make your life a bit sweeter ;)

Ingredients ~

1/2 cup of Jet Black Cocoa ~ I used Hiit Nutrition, to give it more of a rich, oreo flavor

(you can use code LIFTINGLEX to save)

1 cup unsweetened almond milk or milk of choice

2 cups of your choice of granulated sugar/truvia/stevia

(I used Swerve granulated) or coconut sugar works

1/2 tsp of vanilla extract

Pinch of salt

Details ~

Combine all ingredients in a medium saucepan and place over high heat.

Whisk to combine while cooking and bring to a boil.

When it comes to a boil it will rise, if it looks like it is going to boil over, take it off the heat quickly to stir and come back down, then return to the heat.  Boil for about 3 minutes until the sugar has dissolved.

Let cool slightly then transfer to a squeeze bottle and store in the fridge.

The squeezable bottle I got from amazon > linked in my amazon storefront, link is in bio and or on my website!

FYI I do not track this syrup… I don’t track sweeteners like stevia, truvia and or swerve and the black cocoa just is a little bit in each drizzle!

In the photo, I have the chocolate syrup drizzled on the inside of the cup, ice, STOX cold brew coffee, splash of almond milk, and sf vanilla creamer, topped with fat free whip of course!
